How familiar were you with the book when you decided to take this role?įORTSON: Oh, my gosh. But it was released more than 50 years ago, so long before your time, even before my time. And, you know, there are a lot of classic moments. MCCAMMON: Well, this book is pretty iconic as far as tales about young adulthood go. It was some of the four best months of my life. That must have been so fun to film this movie, first of all.įORTSON: Oh, yes, 100%. Abby Ryder Fortson, thanks so much for being with us.
